Preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health and our first priority at Sohosmile.

Preventative Dentistry

A preventative program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions.

Preventing dental disease starts at home with good oral hygiene and a balance diet. It is continued in the dental office by the efforts of your dentist and dental hygienist to promote, restore, and maintain your oral health. This includes comprehensive dental exams, cleanings, and x-rays.

Prevention helps avoid serious and costly dental problems and is the key to having a healthy, confident, beautiful smile.

Professional Dental Cleaning

Professional dental cleanings (dental prophylaxis) are imperative to maintaining your oral health and should be scheduled every six months. This includes the removal of calculus and plaque and the polishing of your teeth. By cleaning and polishing the teeth regularly, stains and plaque are removed that are not otherwise removed during tooth brushing.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are very thin pieces of durable, tooth-shaped porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of each tooth to create a beautiful and attractive smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can cover worn tooth enamel, uneven tooth alignment or spacing and chips or cracks. They create a bright, white smile with beautifully aligned, shapely teeth.

INVISALIGN™

INVISALIGN™ is the clear and easy way to straighten teeth without bands, brackets or wires. INVISALIGN™ gradually moves your teeth through a series of custom-made, removable, nearly invisible Aligners. You wear each pair of aligners for a two-week period, allowing your teeth to gradually evolve into a smile that shows off the real you.

LED In-Office Whitening

Teeth whitening is a simple non-invasive dental treatment used to change the color of the natural tooth enamel and is an ideal way to enhance the beauty of your smile. Teeth whitening is the most commonly requested cosmetic dental procedure. It’s designed to enhance your appearance by reducing tooth discoloration and staining to elicit a brighter, whiter smile.

In-office whitening produces an immediate and often dramatic effect. Typically, your teeth can be whitened by several shades within 45 minutes, dramatically improving your appearance in the shortest possible time.

Complete Mouth Reconstruction

This treatment usually involves most or all of the teeth, thus it is called a complete mouth reconstruction. Although a complete mouth reconstruction may take more time, patients are usually very pleased with the resulting transformation. It can incorporate all the restorative options available to a modern dental office.

Implant Restorations

Using the same aesthetic and restorative principles as on teeth, we restore implants to seamlessly flow with the rest of the dentition. Where as before the only options were bridges and removable appliances, we can now replace what was lost with implants.

Aesthetic Smile Makeovers

A smile makeover improves the appearance of the smile through one or more cosmetic dentistry procedures. A smile makeover involves consideration of your facial appearance, skin tone, hair color, teeth, gum tissue, and lips to develop a customized smile. Smile makeovers are performed for many reasons and are customized according to your unique considerations.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is all about creating a smile that is as beautiful as it is healthy. With today’s cosmetic dentistry technologies, it has never been easier to create the bright healthy smile you’ve always wanted.

Oral Cancer Screening

Dr. Koutsoyiannis and staff will check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer. Modern diagnostic techniques, including Velscope™ technology, are used.

Professional Amalgam Removal

With the use of a rubber dam, to isolate and protect the area, Amalgam fillings can be removed safely without added exposure to Mercury. These old, unsightly fillings are then replaced with composite or porcelain restorations that are the same color as your tooth.
